Lets be honest….I started out liking Sarah Palin when she was chosen to run as the republican vice-presidential running mate of John McCain. As a conservative, she sort-of ‘legitimized’ the republican ticket….beings that McCain is more of what you would call, a rino (republican in name only). The first thing I can say that I still respect her for is that she is pro-life. She had the opportunity to abort a child that knowingly would be born with Down Syndrome, but carried him to term despite this knowledge.

However, soon thereafter came warning signs that she was not what we thought she was.

Granted, during the campaign, most of what was picked on were purely political attacks….to which I can only say, SOMEONE – ANYONE should have worked with her regarding the media. Im sure that part of her problems now could have been nipped in the bud W-A-Y back then, because she certainly hasnt improved in this arena. (writing on her hand, not responding directly to questions)

One of the biggest issues I have with Sarah Palin is that she quit midway thru her term as Governor of Alaska. Now, today I had a disagreement with someone I know personally, because apparently the words I should have used is Palin resigned….HOWEVER, the fact remains that her constituents elected her to serve a term, which is 4 years – and she only served 2. She resigned on her own accord. She is no longer the Governor of Alaska, is she? Therefore, it doesnt matter what you call it, she choose to walk away from this responsibility.

This is the snarky comment I posted that led to the conversation: http://twitter.com/sfaulstich/status/22364956559

And here is the definition of quit on dictionary.com:  http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/quit You will notice that the 3rd one on the list mentions resign 🙂

I am sorry to say, that during the conversation/debate it was stated that my argument was a democratic argument…..which completely perplexed me. Anyone who knows me (which they do) knows that I do not argue on a partisan level. I hate that crap!

And this leads right into my other problem with Palin….and well Glenn Beck. Both have inserted themselves into the tea party rally crowd as well as this odd new type of rally that is popping up.

The original tea party rallies were held over a decade ago by true non-partisan, independent, (do I need more adjectives?) people who were fed up with how big our government was getting and the fact that our freedoms were being taken, little by little. Most conservatives call these people hippies or liberals (or even worse). Most of the founding tea party activists are now with organizations like We Are Change and are leading the 9/11 truth movement these days. Today the non-partisan movement that is known as the tea parties, is filled with so-called conservatives and followers of Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin.

The tea parties and rallies that figures like Glenn Beck are leading, bring in those who have a partisan political agenda. There is no way for someone who is truly non-partisan and Taxed Enough Already to feel comfortable in that type of setting.

However, just what was Becks rally supposed to do? You have people who could be actually working for a viable candidate by knocking on doors, sign-waving, or making phone calls standing in the grass in the middle of DC……Way to go ralliers! You certainly showed the country just how active and participatory you can be!!!

Oh, and one more thing……Im not gonna stop calling em like I see em because she endorsed a candidate I also prefer. (Re: Murphy for Gov) That isnt the correct reason to like or respect anyone!

On the contrary, many people probably will overlook this candidate because of her endorsement. If you dont believe that there is a true conservative backlash to Sarah Palin, you havent been paying attention.

I just ask that you really look into who you are defending and see where people are coming from. This woman has inserted herself into situations that she doesnt need to. Her comments make no sense sometimes and make her look foolish. This is not a partisan statement. This is fact.

I HAVE to do this blog…Its a long one, so sit back, read on, and be amazed. There are six videos embedded with comments. http://www.infowars.com/footage-from-the-original-1997-tea-party-protests/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

I know Ill probably take heat on this one, specifically from my conservative friends. But Im sorry, I am not in love with Glenn Beck or Sarah Palin….Im tired of all the fascination already. They can do no wrong in most of the GOPs eyes. I respect them both for differing reasons, but they have faults….and Im tired of everyone acting like they need to bow down before these people.

The ORIGINAL Tea Party was THIS:
Firstly, I stand corrected when I say that I researched the first “Tea Party” and it was not in 2000-01 as I previously stated. It was earlier – 1998. And for all those who are bandwaggon tea partiers….do you realize who your ‘…leader’ was? It was Alex Jones….yep, for all those that dog me because I peruse his website….including my conservative friends….You will see how small this movement was back then, as well as the fact that it was basically ran by unknowns outside of Texas. It was only recently that the GOP joined in and well Im sure you all know the rest….Glenn Becks involvement – Sarah Palins involvement…..and how those who have seen it grow can literally claim that while the movement has grown, it has been taken over.

Here are clips from the Tea Party Convention – Sarah Palins remarks (with my observations)

Pt 1
My observations: So Sarah Palin takes one minute by beating it thru our heads that shes proud to be American….most of us are. This is a time waster in my opinion. We hear about Scott Brown…honestly? Hes already gone back on several campaign promises. Enough! Im tired of hearing that BHO is blaming GWB….whatever! Shes coming off pretty cocky. Around 8:00 minutes in we hear the ‘charasmatic man with a teleprompter’ bit. That doesnt sound like she was joking to me.

Pt 2
My observations: At 3:50 minutes in, we hear the ‘we need a Commander in Chief, not a Professor of Law’ bit. Honestly? Is this necessary? At 5:00 minutes in, Sarah Palin actually states that Alaska is the beacon of hope. When did this happen? Its the first Ive heard of this one! At 7:30 in, she mentions sanctions. As a level headed person, I realize sanctions only hurt the citizens of whatever country they are used. Their leaders do not care. This only gives them more fuel to hate us. Learn this! Near the end of this clip, Sarah Palin actually attempts to blame the bailout on BHO…uh….this is a boo-boo the GWB administration did.

Pt 3
My observations: Leg-is-slate-tors? Odd pronunciation there. At 2:00 minutes in she mocks the Hope and Change campaign theme…..rather bad. Hopey-Changey? Is she two? She also speaks about a campaign promise of BHOs that bills wouldnt be up for vote until the citizens could read them…Im miffed about this and Im disappointed, HOWEVER, our legislators could have refused to vote on this. There was NO RUSH. Lets put the blame where it needs to be.

Pt 4
My observations: Sarah Palin mentions at about 5:00 minutes in that you do not need an office or title to make a difference…and while this is true, I guess she needed a clause to make millions in speaking fees. (she did give it back in this case, but come on) And then, she states that The Tea Party (those at this convention) are the loyal opposition….I beg to differ. Not everyone who attended was there to oppose BHO or the democratic party. I know democrats who were there who were upset. At 8:20 she talks about marginalizing….and I beg to differ here as well….It is a takeover of a movement that marginalizes citizens involved in movements.

Pt 5
These were her closing remarks. Nothing special to observe on my part.

Im going to open todays blog post with the simple fact that I do not understand why Ron Paul will even give Glenn Beck the time of day. Glenn Beck ripped Ron Paul to shreds on his radio show and tv show on CNN before he came to Fox News.

Now that I have that all out of the way….

Glenn Beck speaks to Ron Paul about the Audit the Fed legislation before Congress. This is the furtherest this legislation has ever got (Ron Paul has introduced this bill for at least 2 decades to no avail)

The circle of taxpayer money being circulated is sickening. Many companies (banks mentioned here) are paying back the TARP (re: bailout) money so they can forego restrictions put upon them by the government. Of course, the taxpayer wont see a dime of this repayed money….it will go straight into the FEDs coffers.

Glenn Beck shows the viewing audience a graph…the debt to GDP ratio and yep, our country is definately in the crapper. We are NOT recovering from this recession….I wish the politicians would be honest…Our dollar is sinking and we are not creating jobs.

We can only begin to recover if we get to the bottom of our financial situation. We HAVE to audit the fed….and go from there.
